The Sixth Annual Double Angel Foundation Golf Tournament June 23 at the Golf Club at Inverness proved to
be a great success as 140 golfers packed the course in a show of support.
Double Angel Foundation raised about $40,000 during the event with proceeds going to continue construction
on a four-field memorial baseball complex in Parker.
“Every year the support just continues to snowball,” said Ken Major, executive director for the foundation.
“We want to thank everyone who participated and the great people at Inverness for helping us put together a
first-class event. We're real proud we were able to fill the tournament and all the support is much appreciated.”
Dinner and a live auction hosted by former Denver Broncos offensive lineman Mark Schlereth followed the
tournament, featuring items such as an African Safari. Signed sports paraphernalia included a John Elway
Hall-of-Fame helmet, Todd Helton jersey and Jake Plummer jersey.
Special thanks to all Corporate and Hole Sponsors, players, those who donated auction items and door prizes,
Lisa Schlereth, fundraising chairperson, Lee Brooks, volunteer coordinator, Mark Schlereth, host and auctioneer,
Inverness Hotel & Golf Club and staff, Burt Automotive Network, E-470, and all the generous people who
donated their time and effort to make the tournament a tremendous success.
