The fourth-annual Double Angel Foundation Golf Tournament June 30 at the Golf Club at Bear

Dance proved to be a success as over 100 golfers packed the course in a show of support.

All proceeds from the tournament will be used to help the foundation build its four-field youth

memorial baseball complex in Parker.

“We had a lot of new players offering their support this year, and that’s a good thing,” said

Sandy Larsen, boardmember for the foundation.“Bear Dance is a prestigious course and a great

place to have a tournament. Everyone had a lot of fun and it’s for such a great cause.”

Dinner and a live auction followed the tournament, featuring items such as Denver Broncos

jerseys signed by former quarterback John Elway and present quarterback Jake Plummer, signed

hockey stick from Avalanche star Joe Sakic, and vacations to Bonita Springs, Fla. and Red Hawk

Lodge in Keystone.

Mark Schlereth and David Diaz-Infante broadcasted live their popular AM 760

afternoon sports talk show from Bear Dance during the tournament. The former Denver Broncos

offensive linemen spoke often about thefoundation and what it stands for.

Celebrities who attended the event included former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and

ESPN analyst Mark Malone, former Denver Broncos fullback Howard Griffith, Schlereth and

Diaz-Infante.

The foundation would like to thank Bear Dance, Schlereth, Diaz-Infante, all players, sponsors

and volunteers who made the 2003 golf tournament a success.
