| Ballfield Progress Special Thanks to: Academy Sports Turf for all their hard work and support to the Double Angel Foundation to help make our ballfields look spectacular. Below is a link to our most recent pictures of the fields furnished by Academy Sports Turf - while we are closer to completion of Fields 1 & 2 (below), substantial funds are still needed before we can open for the 2006 Youth Baseball Season. In the spirit of giving, we ask that you please consider contributing to this worthwhile project to benefit children. Call the Double Angel office 303-841-2420.

Foundation Updates
Burt Automotive Network sponsors scoreboard The Double Angel Foundation is proud to announce that the Burt Automotive Network has sponsored the scoreboard on the varsity field at Double Angel Ballpark.
On June 16, LG Chavez, President and CEO of the Burt Automotive Network, wrote a check to the foundation for $25,000, giving them exclusive naming rights on the scoreboard for the next five years.
“We are proud and honored to have such an established and respected company join us in sponsorship at the ballfield facility,” said Sandy Larsen, board member for the Double Angel Foundation. “This partnership will benefit both sides and we're so pleased to have Burt on our team.”
Burt Chevy in Parker also donated a fully loaded Trail Blazer for the 6th Annual Double Angel Golf Tournament June 23 and provided the insurance through the LGC Foundation.
A special thanks to LG Chavez and Debi Garrity for their partnership in the scoreboard sponsorship.

SKY SOX BREAK OUT THE BIG BATS
For the second consecutive year, the 9, 11 and 12-year-old Parker Sky Sox baseball teams decided to donate $1.00 for every run the 3 squads scored during league play to the Double Angel Foundation. The Double Angel Foundation was formed following the tragic deaths of Dillon and Logan Dixey, two young brothers from Parker who drowned from exposure to carbon monoxide while swimming at the rear of a houseboat on Lake Powell . Both boys loved baseball, so to memorialize that enthusiasm for the benefit of other children, the foundation is working to build a unique four field baseball complex that will feature artificial turf, an instructional facility and a children's memorial garden. Two of the four fields will be playable this fall. With over 50 games between the three teams, the club goal was to score 500 runs and raise $500. The boys brought out the big bats and did just that. They reached their goal and presented a check for $500 to the foundation at Double Angel Ballpark. Ken and Bambi Dixey spoke to the kids while standing at home plate on the varsity field. “Always remember that you guys helped us build these fields,” Bambi said. “This is a special place and we can't wait to see you and all the other kids playing here.” Sky Sox coaches said the program is expected to add two more teams next year, which should mean more hits, more runs, and more support for the foundation.
